How it began
I’ve never been a frilly girl. Growing up on the Southside of Chicago, you couldn’t afford to be. Most people you meet from the Southside are hard and tough on the outside…rightly so.
But I didn’t want to be hard. I wanted to be like my mom; gentle and compassionate yet pragmatic and low-key badass. So when I was younger I decided to be kind but fiercely protective of that kindness by learning the streets, the players, and the code to negotiate my safety.
This collection of talismans represent that strong inside and softness outside idea. Each piece is handcrafted with tough metals like steel, titanium, and tungsten, caged within a light alloy fencing. The W-band braided leather cord with lobster-claw clasp completes each design.
The pieces are unisex and they are very imperfect just like me. I hope you enjoy them.
